Iran invites more Pakistani students for education opportunities

A delegation of students from several Iranian universities visited Punjab University on Sunday. The delegation included university heads, teachers, and researchers, led by Dr. Seyyed Abolhasan Navvab, Chairman of the University of Religions and Denominations Board of Trustees.

Dr. Navvab emphasized his commitment to fostering relations with Pakistani universities and enhancing cultural ties between Iran and Pakistan. He noted that while Iran and Pakistan currently enjoy excellent relations, stronger connections in the past would have been beneficial. He highlighted that Pakistanis live all over the world.

The delegates expressed their desire to increase the number of Pakistani students in Iranian universities, pointing out that thousands of foreign students are already studying in Iran. They mentioned that centres have been established in Iranian universities to facilitate academic dialogue between the two countries.

PU Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Mahmood shared that agreements have been signed with Iranian universities to promote collaboration. He expressed his interest in enhancing cooperation in research with Iranian institutions.

During their visit, the Iranian delegation toured various departments of Punjab University and explored different fields of education and research.
