Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has declared that the upcoming rally in Lahore on September 21 will be a defining moment for his party.

Speaking to journalists at Adiala Jail, Khan highlighted criticised recent constitutional amendments, accusing the government of undermining democracy and targeting the judiciary, particularly Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

Moreover, Khan stated that the event will proceed despite any government attempts to block it, warning that if hindered, PTI supporters will fill the jails.

He condemned the government’s actions, calling them an attempt to suppress opposition by extending the terms of key officials and manipulating the system for personal gain.

Khan urged the nation to stand up for their future, stating, “If the Supreme Court is destroyed, Pakistan will become a banana republic.” Reiterating his commitment to PTI’s cause, Khan declared that he is prepared for a prolonged stay in prison and encouraged his supporters to remain unafraid of imprisonment.

Despite being in jail for 15 months, Khan remains defiant, viewing the September 21 rally as a critical showdown for PTI and the country’s democratic future.
