Journalist Azhar Javaid has claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is planning to launch social media campaigns against state institutions.
Talking to Azaad, he expressed that it is unfortunate, but according to his sources, the campaign is set to launch this month, with military courts being a primary target.
A day earlier, PTI official X page tweeted about these courts.
The account said, “This is purely an intimidation tactic, designed to crack down on dissent by exercising fear of an institution that has never been held to account for its overreach. The right to a fair trial, guaranteed by Pakistanβs constitution, is severely undermined by this move and cannot be justified. It must be struck down immediately.β
According to the party, “Over 100 innocent Pakistanis have suffered illegal, unconstitutional military trials; in the aftermath of #May9th_FalseFlag operation in 2023, which was used as an excuse by the illegitimate, authoritarian, fascist regime to not only decimate Imran Khanβs PTI, but also spread fear, chaos & panic amongst the nation.”
At the end of the tweet, PTI added a hashatg saying, “Undeclared martial law”.

Prior to this, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that not enough was being done against βdigital terrorismβ under the law, allowing fake news and propaganda to spread in the country.
βWhich is why, whoever β whether in Pakistan or abroad and irrespective of their position β is found spreading propaganda against the Pakistan Army, creating a distance between the army and the people, or is found to be involved in spreading fake news, the army will take necessary legal action against it, and there is a whole process for it,β it warned.
