A group of Indian customers fought with the Pakistani restaurant owner, Rahimullah Khan in Sheffield, UK.
The altercation, which occurred a few months ago but recently went viral through a video on social media, has prompted widespread condemnation.
The fight started over beef dishes on the menu.
The attackers had come in a vehicle to the Abbasin Dinner restaurant. It was reported that they caused damage to the doors and windows of the outlet.
In the video, the restaurant owner can be seen defending himself during the fight. Later, the miscreants fled from the spot.
According to the reports, the police launched an investigation after the attack on Pakistani restaurant in UK, and the attackers were arrested. The owner claimed 2000 pounds compensation for damage repair.
No significant injuries were reported during the fight.
Rahimullah talked to a private channel related to this event. “Indian nationals arrived at the restaurant under the influence of alcohol,” Khan explained. “After dining, they created a scene at the counter, accusing us of mixing lamb and beef.”
“The management told them beef is not even on our menu,” he added.
Khan further revealed that the intoxicated individuals escalated the situation by attacking a staff member and causing significant damage to the restaurant’s glass and other property.
