In Karachi, the Supreme Court issued a directive on Saturday instructing relevant authorities to clear all encroachments from public roads and pavements nationwide within a three-day timeframe.
The written order came two days after the apex court directed the Sindh government to remove barricades outside various buildings, including the Sindh Rangers headquarters, Chief Minister House, and Governor House.
The hearing presided over by a three-member bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa and comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, took place on Thursday, with the written order being issued today.

In response to the directives, the Sindh government promptly removed the barricades outside the CM House.
In its recent ruling, the highest court stated that the encroachments on public roads and pavements are perpetrated by individuals funded from the public treasury.
