Interest rate may decrease, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb

WEB DESK: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has indicated a potential reduction in interest rates.

While addressing the Pakistan Business Forum in China, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that there has been a significant decrease in the inflation rate, and all of Pakistan’s economic indicators are heading in the right direction.

Furthermore, Muhammad Aurangzeb mentioned that it is expected that interest rates will be reduced in line with the decrease in inflation, providing relief. The government’s entire focus is on the agenda of economic and financial reforms.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also addressed the Pakistan Business Forum, saying that there are immense investment opportunities in various sectors in Pakistan, including IT, agriculture, and mineral resources.

Ishaq Dar added that under the SIFC, measures are being taken to encourage the business sector and investors, and the privatization of 84 institutions in Pakistan is under consideration.
