Hareem Shah ventures into UK politics with mystery party affiliation

LONDON: Famous TikToker Hareem Shah has announced her foray into UK politics, expressing intentions to pursue a seat in the British Parliament in the future.
Revealing her affiliation with a prominent UK political party, Hareem refrained from divulging specifics, citing an invitation extended by a senior figure within the party ranks.
“There are three major, renowned parties in the UK. I cannot disclose the name of the party yet, but I can confirm I have joined one,” she remarked, alluding to the Labour, Tories, and Liberal Democrats.
Elaborating further, she stated, “A senior leader of one of these parties asked me to join. In the future, I plan to stand in elections and become a member of the UK parliament. You will see me in the UK Parliament. These parties need young and popular influencers. They approached me because I am in Google’s top search rankings. I am popular. I am also among the world’s most searched people.”
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, she pledged to engage in fair electoral practices and champion causes related to Pakistan and human rights.
Media reports highlighted Hareem Shah’s engagement with Scotland Yard for protective measures following alleged threats in response to her police complaint regarding harassment and blackmail.
The controversy ensued subsequent to claims made by a group of British Pakistanis accusing Hareem of involvement in a robbery in Manchester and absconding to London. Denying the allegations, Hareem urged her accusers to pursue legal avenues rather than resorting to social media slander and intimidation tactics.
In response to her complaint, both local police in Slough and the UK government’s Modern Slavery Human Trafficking Unit (MSHTU) initiated investigations. Hareem was advised to relocate for safety, facilitated by authorities, amidst concerns of unwarranted attention from individuals seeking her whereabouts.
Having departed Pakistan over a year ago, Hareem asserts her permanent residency in London, maintaining her stance amid ongoing scrutiny and legal proceedings.
