Former actress Zainab Jamil survives ‘murder attempt’ in Lahore

Former Pakistani actress and model, Zainab Jamil, survived a brutal gun attack carried out by masked assailants on her vehicle in Lahore’s DHA Phase IV.

The shocking incident left Jamil with six gunshot wounds, and she is currently receiving treatment in hospital

Jamil, who left showbiz in 2020 to follow the path of Islam, took to Instagram to share her ordeal, alleging that her husband was behind the attack.

“I have all the proof against him,” she stated in her video, expressing frustration over the lack of decisive action by the police. She has also sought the media’s help in bringing attention to her plight.

A case has been lodged against the unknown attackers based on a complaint filed by Jamil’s uncle.

According to police reports, two unidentified men attacked Jamil’s vehicle before fleeing the scene. Authorities recovered a pistol and a motorcycle from the crime site.

Zainab Jamil rose to fame with her roles in popular Pakistani dramas such as “Khuda Aur Muhabbat,” “Sada Sukhi Raho,” “Sasural Meri Behen Ka,” “Mannchali,” and “Aap Ki Kaneez.”
