Exploring China’s tea heritage: visit to Xiaoyangchun tea museum

Journalists from Qingdao’s Information Department and China Radio International recently visited the Xiaoyangchun Tea Museum in Qingdao, China, to explore the rich history of tea.

Located within the renowned Xiaoyangchun tea company, the museum offers a comprehensive look into the evolution of Chinese tea culture spanning centuries. Participants explored the origins of tea, dating back two thousand years, and witnessed the significant transformations in tea cultivation and consumption over the years.

 

The museum features a remarkable collection of tea-making vessels used throughout different historical periods, providing a tangible link to China’s tea heritage. Photographs and documentaries further illustrate the evolution of tea culture, offering a visual narrative of its rich and diverse history.

A representative of Xiaoyangchun noted that the museum, open to the public for two years, welcomes visitors to explore and learn about China’s esteemed tea tradition. During the visit, attendees enjoyed a practical demonstration of green tea preparation, adding a hands-on dimension to their immersive tea experience.
