Chahat offers leadership to PCB after Pak’s T20 World Cup exit

WEB DESK: Following Pakistan’s early exit from the T20 World Cup, internet sensation Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has expressed his willingness to lead the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in addressing the team’s challenges.

In a recent video statement, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan put forward his desire to take charge at the PCB, underscoring his experience as a cricketer and his readiness to assess player performance on the ground multiple times a week.

“While I’m not advocating for the removal of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, I believe the board should be led by an experienced cricketer like myself. I can dedicate significant time to oversee player evaluations and manage team affairs efficiently with just one appointed coach,” he stated.

Responding to queries about Mohsin Naqvi’s position, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan clarified, “No, I am not suggesting Mohsin Naqvi should step down. However, the situation should be carefully evaluated by the authorities.”

Pakistan’s cricket team faced criticism and disappointment after a series of losses in the T20 World Cup, culminating in their elimination from the tournament. The crucial match between the USA and Ireland on Friday was called off due to rain and a wet outfield, resulting in Pakistan having fewer points than the USA and their subsequent exit from the competition.
