By-elections: PML-N wins most seats

On Sunday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters and workers celebrated their victory as they secured the majority of seats in the April 21 by-elections, according to unofficial results.

PML-N claimed that, based on unofficial results, the party has emerged victorious in two out of the five National Assembly seats and in 10 out of 16 provincial assembly seats.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-supported Sunni Ittehad Council, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid each secured one seat in the provincial assemblies.

Adnan Afzal Chattha of PML-N emerged victorious in the PP-36 Wazirabad constituency, defeating Fayyaz Chattha from PTI.
