WhatsApp has introduced a new feature recently, allowing users to record voice status updates of up to one minute.
Previously, WhatsApp added support for sharing videos up to one minute via status updates. Now, users can also share voice notes of the same length in their statuses.
Before the recent update, voice notes shared on your Status page were limited to 30 seconds. Now, you can share voice notes up to one minute long.

The new feature is rolling out to the latest version of WhatsApp on both iOS and Android. It is pertinent to mention that you must have the most recent version of the app to create and listen to the longer voice notes.
WhatsApp appears focused on enhancing the Status feature, so further updates and new additions can be expected in the future.
