Punjab Food Authority seizes hundreds of kilos of dead chickens

In a recent development, the Punjab Food Authority cracked down on an operation involved in supplying dead chickens in Sharaqpur Sharif, Sheikhupura.

The operation, conducted along the Lahore-Gujranwala Road, resulted in the seizure of a vehicle loaded with dead chickens.

The vehicle was discovered to be transporting 800 kilograms of dead chickens. As a result, approximately three suspects were apprehended, and a case was filed against them.

The confiscated dead chickens were destroyed on-site in the presence of the attending officers.

In a similar incident few weeks ago, police in Sargodha seized 400 kilograms of dead chicken meat in the Kot Momin tehsil area.

The discovery was made when officers from the Hilalpur police post intercepted a rickshaw during routine checks. Upon inspection, they were alarmed to find the vehicle loaded with bags containing decomposed chicken meat
