Reasons for Action
Northeastern University stated on social media platform X that the clearing was prompted by some protesters using “virulent anti-Semitic slurs, including ‘Kill the Jews'”.
West Coast Incidents
Arizona State University police arrested 69 individuals for trespassing after an “unauthorized encampment” was established on campus. University officials noted that most protesters were not ASU affiliates and disregarded orders to disperse.
Heartland Arrests
At Indiana University, 23 people were arrested as police dismantled a campus protest camp, according to the Indiana Daily Student newspaper. Police, equipped with shields and riot gear, broke through protester lines, detaining those who did not comply.
