Speaking at the event, Jansher expressed his happiness and called Hong Kong a “second home,” having won the title of Hong Kong Opens eight times. “This is an honour to receive this award,” he added.

PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough praised Jansher and Nicol as iconic figures who had left a legacy. Most especially, Gough stressed Jansher’s remarkable record and Nicol’s nine years unbroken at the top position in the world.

Jansher was introduced by the Men’s Squash World number one Ali Farag, calling him “the all-time greatest squash player.” He thanked Jansher for the generations he has inspired and for having transcended the game. “Tonight, we are celebrating not just your victories, but the legacy you have built and left behind,” Farag said.

Jansher joins Jahangir Khan in the Hall of Fame, making Pakistan the only country with two male players in this exclusive club.
