PTI has issued a firm call for all its office-bearers to converge on Islamabad by October 15, should the government continue to deny access to legal and medical professionals for party founder Imran Khan, who remains in Adiala Jail.
This directive was given by the party’s acting president for Punjab, Hammad Azhar, late on Sunday. Azhar voiced concerns over Khan’s health, stressing that the government had not responded to PTI’s request for a meeting with their leader.
He warned that any office-bearers or ticket-holders who failed to arrive in Islamabad by the specified date would be removed from their positions, emphasising his intent to lead the protest himself despite threats to his life.

Earlier, Azhar took to social media, questioning why the government, if so concerned about the SCO summit, refused Imran Khan the legal right to meet with his lawyers. He accused the administration of hatching a conspiracy against PTI and keeping the nation uninformed about Khan’s health.

Meanwhile, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PTI’s Asad Qaiser discussed the issue over the phone. Qaiser proposed a meeting with Khan as a condition for reconsidering the protest plan.
