The former Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail, Muhammad Akram, has been located after two months of his disappearance.
He is currently under a three-day physical remand with the Anti-Corruption Establishment’s investigative team.
Corruption Case Unveiled
Muhammad Akram is facing charges of accepting a bribe of Rs95,000, filed by a citizen, Riaz Qureshi, in Sheikhupura.

He will be presented before the Senior Civil Judge Criminal Division on October 10. Additionally, sources suggest that Akram is under investigation for allegedly facilitating the founder of PTI and overstepping his authority.
Recently, the Punjab government dismissed Akram and other jail officials due to their involvement in a prisoner’s death during an inquiry into Adiala Jail’s mental health cell.
