Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has responded to the outcry over high electricity bills by taking swift action.
He has ordered strict measures against officials who have been inflating bills with extra units.
In an emergency meeting, he instructed the Minister of Energy to identify and suspend those responsible. Sharif emphasized that those exploiting the poor must face immediate consequences.

Additionally, he directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to thoroughly investigate and act against the perpetrators. Energy Minister Owais Leghari assured that immediate corrective steps would be taken.
