ISLAMABAD: Judge Abual Hasnat Mohammad Zulqarnain of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday granted bail to 278 workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) arrested during the party’s November 26 protest in Islamabad.

The court ordered to release them against surety bonds of Rs 5000 each.

The Anti-Terrorism Court, meanwhile, rejected the bail pleas of 158 workers of Imran Khan’s party.

The ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Mohammad Zulqarnain heard a total of 436 bail applications out of which 158 were rejected.

As per details, the bails of 43 accused whose cases were registered at Kohsar Police Station were approved while one bail plea of one accused was rejected.

In cases filed at Noon Police Station, the ATC approved bail for 17 accused and denied one application.

Similarly, in cases from Aabpara Police Station, the court granted bail to 70 accused, while 25 applications were rejected.
