ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has said that the Pak Army is fully prepared to defend the sovereignty and integrity of the country. The statements of the Indian military leadership are irresponsible, any misadventure will be responded to with full force.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the participants in the Corps Commanders’ Conference chaired by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistani armed forces, law enforcement agencies and Pakistani citizens who have laid down their lives for the peace and stability of the motherland.

According to the ISPR, the forum reviewed regional and internal security. The participants of the conference discussed the current situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary.

The forum expressed solidarity with the resolute people of Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day (February 5, 2025). The forum strongly condemned the continued human rights violations by India in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and termed them a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.

The ISPR said that the participants reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support to the Kashmiri people in their struggle for their right to self-determination in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

The participants also stressed the importance of international cooperation to address the continued violations of relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

According to the ISPR, the forum also took strong note of the recent reckless and provocative statements by the Indian military leadership and termed them irresponsible and detrimental to regional stability.

Addressing the forum, the Army Chief said that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and integrity, and these hollow statements by the Indian army indicate their growing frustration.

He said such statements are to divert the attention of its people and the international community from India’s internal turmoil and its blatant human rights violations. Pakistan will respond to any misadventure with full force.

“Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. These hollow statements from the Indian military are indicative of their growing frustration and serve only to divert the attention of their masses and the international community from their multiple internal fissures and blatant violations of human rights. Any misadventure against Pakistan will be responded with full and resolute force of the state, InshaAllah,” ISPR quoted Army Chif as saying.

According to the ISPR, the forum expressed deep concern over the continued use of Afghan soil by the Fitna-ul-Kharij for terrorist acts against Pakistan. The forum stressed the need for the interim Afghan government to take concrete and practical steps against the Fitna-ul-Kharij instead of denying its existence.

The forum made it clear that all necessary measures and strategies related to Afghanistan and the Fitna-ul-Khwarij will be continued to ensure the security of Pakistan and its people.

The forum also stressed the need to accelerate people-centric socio-economic development initiatives in Balochistan to negate the fabricated narrative of deprivation.

The forum reiterated that no one will be allowed to disturb peace in Balochistan, the nefarious designs of foreign-backed proxies to mislead and extremize the youth of Balochistan will be thwarted with the unwavering support of the people of Balochistan.

Praising the operational preparedness of all formations, the Army Chief stressed the importance of conducting mission-oriented training, improved military cooperation, and joint exercises in the areas of conventional and counter-terrorism.

At the end of the conference, the Army Chief reiterated that the military leadership is fully aware of the multifaceted challenges facing the nation. And is committed to fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities with the full support of the proud people.
