A troubling incident in Turkey involving Samsung Galaxy Buds FE earbuds has sparked significant concern regarding the safety of Bluetooth devices. A user has alleged that the earbuds exploded while being worn by his girlfriend, leading to permanent hearing damage.
The incident was detailed in a post on Samsung’s Turkish community forum, where the user recounted purchasing the Galaxy Buds FE to pair with his Galaxy S23 Ultra. After using the earbuds straight out of the box, his girlfriend borrowed them for use. It was during this time that one of the earbuds purportedly exploded, causing her to suffer substantial hearing loss.
Following the alarming incident, the user sought assistance at a Samsung service center in Adana. Initially, staff at the center appeared sympathetic to the user’s plight. However, after a two-day investigation, Samsung reportedly downplayed the situation, asserting that the earbuds had merely “deformed” rather than exploded.

Samsung’s response and user frustration
In response to the incident, Samsung offered a replacement of the same model as a goodwill gesture, accompanied by the statement, “Take it or leave it.” The company further advised the user that he was free to pursue legal action if he was dissatisfied with the resolution.
The user expressed his frustration with Samsung’s handling of the case, noting that he possesses documentation, including the purchase invoice, photographs, and medical records that substantiate the claim that the explosion caused his girlfriend’s hearing loss.
