6 Cattle Markets Set to Open in Islamabad: Locations Revealed

The Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has decided to set up cattle markets for sacrificial animals in the federal capital ahead of Eidul Azha.

Talking to Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), an official of the MCI stated that the corporation has decided that it will set up six cattle markets for sacrificial animals. It will include three for small animals and as many for the large ones.

Regarding the locations of the market, the official revealed that six different sites have been picked for this purpose. The cattle markets for big animals will be established in Sangjani, I-15 and I-12.

Meanwhile, the residents of Islamabad can but small animals for the markets that will be set at Bhara Kahu, Lehtrar Road near Sultana Foundation and Zia Masjid along Expressway. The official further stated that the cattle markets will operate for 13 days from 1st to 13th Zilhaj.

The MCI has established the fee for small animals at Rs250 and for large animals at Rs500. A bidding process to allocate the rights for setting up and managing these cattle markets will take place on May 9 at the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) office.
