WhatsApp unveils new feature for video calling

WhatsApp is set to enhance video calling with a new augmented reality (AR) feature, now available through the Google Beta Program in update version 2.24.16.7. Currently, this update is accessible only to beta testers.

Users interested in this AR feature can download the latest version from the Google Play Store, though it is still in the testing phase with limited availability.

The update introduces interactive video call features, including facial filters and effects such as a “touch-up tool” for smoothing skin and a “low-light mode” to improve visibility in dim conditions.

This background feature is also expected to be available for desktop users, providing a professional and distraction-free environment for meetings and interviews.
