LAHORE: Leg spinner of Pakistan Usman Qadir, who recently quit international cricket, shifted to Australia for a better future in cricket.
Son of Pakistan’s best-known spinner, Abdul Qadir, retired from Pakistan cricket in October last year out of frustration.
As per media reports, international cricketer Usman Qadir, now settled in New South, is playing for the Hawkesbury Club in Sydney.
Usman Qadir had left Australia and came to Pakistan on the wish of his late father Abdul Qadir.
Former Pakistani spin legend late Abdul Qadir wanted to see his son Usman Qadir play for Pakistan.
Usman Qadir represented Pakistan in one ODI and 25 T20 International matches. He played his only ODI match against South Africa at Centurion in which he took one wicket.
Usman Qadir represented South Australia. Apart from it, he has also played the Big Bash League for Perth and Adelaide. He also had the honour of playing for Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI.
The media reports say that Usman Qadir has moved back to Australia with the plan to play cricket in Australia.
Usman Qadir’s family will also move to Australia soon.

Usman Qadir has said that cricket is my livelihood. I have come to Australia with plans for the future. “I am hopeful and determined that I will get good opportunities in cricket.”
