WEB DESK: Has former Pakistan captain and wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed hinted about his retirement from international cricket?
Sarfaraz spoke to the media at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium ahead of the Champions T20 Cup. Sarfaraz Ahmed mentioned that his decision regarding retirement might come soon
“Look, as far as my career is concerned, I don’t need to say anything. Nothing is left. I know what you’re waiting for, and it will happen soon,” he said sarcastically.
Sarfaraz has had a very successful career since his debut for Pakistan in 2007. He has played 54 Test matches, 117 ODIs, and 61 T20Is. He has accumulated 6,164 runs, including six centuries and 32 half-centuries.

Sarfaraz Ahmed fluctuating career
Despite his great achievements, Sarfaraz’s career has fluctuated. The last time he played for Pakistan was in a Test series against Australia in 2023, during which he could only manage a paltry seven runs-in-inning and was soon left out of the squad.
His last outing towards the white ball came in November 2021, and since then, it has been drawing quite a distance from the game.
