The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has unveiled its 16-member squad, captained by Nisar Ali, for the Blind T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to take place on home soil from November 23 to December 3.
The team will kick off the tournament in a curtain-raiser against South Africa, with matches set across various cities in Pakistan.
The squad selection, led by a committee featuring Masood Jan, Muhammad Jameel, and Tahir Mahmood Butt, received the formal approval of PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah. The team boasts a mix of experienced players and emerging talents, highlighting Pakistan’s strong performance in recent domestic competitions. Vice-captain Badar Munir will support Nisar Ali in leading the team.
Blind T20 World Cup Squad 2024
The squad includes players from three categories of visual impairment, ensuring a balanced lineup. In the B1 category, players include Zafar Iqbal, Muhammad Idrees Saleem, Muhammad Shahzaib, Fakhar Abbas, Muhammad Asif, and Muhammad Salman.

The B2 category comprises Nisar Ali (captain), Badar Munir (vice-captain), Babar Ali, Nematullah, and Haroon Khan, while the B3 category includes Muhammad Safdar, Kamran Akhtar, Akmal Hayat Nasir, Talha Iqbal, and Matiullah.
PBCC also named three reserve players — Muhammad Ayaz, Moeen Aslam, and Muhammad Rashid. The team’s support staff is led by Jameel as head coach, with Masood Jan as assistant coach, Malik Abrar Hussain as team manager, Naveed Hussain Abbasi as assistant manager, and Tahir serving as trainer.

Chairman Syed Sultan Shah praised the blend of seasoned players and fresh talent, expressing optimism that the team will uphold Pakistan’s reputation in blind cricket. “This squad has shown remarkable skills in domestic tournaments, and we are hopeful they will meet the nation’s expectations in the T20 World Cup,” Shah stated.
