RIYADH: The FIFA has said that the Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup has received highest ranking in history.

The FIFA announced result of its Bid Evaluation Report according to which Saudi Arabia’s bid receives 419.8 out of 500 points, the highest ever score in the history of the FIFA World Cup 2034.

This announcement comes with less than two weeks of official announcement of the hosts for FIFA World Cup 2030 and 2034.

The Kingdom was the only country to submit a bid in time for FIFA’s deadline of 31 October 2023. The FIFA will announce the host on December 11, 2024.

It should be noted that the bid made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to host the 2034 World Cup.

A week earlier, Saudi Arabia revealed design of the King Salman International Stadium to be built in Riyadh. With a seating capacity of 92,000, the stadium will host the opening and final matches of the World Cup.

The Kingdom will build 15 stadiums, 11 brand-new constructions, and four refurbished existing venues for the FIFA World Cup.
