Senior PML-N Leader Hints at Early Elections

Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Javed Latif has hinted at the possibility of early elections in the country.

According to Latif, elections could be held in the next two years to pave the way for Nawaz Sharif to become Prime Minister for the fourth time. The senior PML N leader made these remarks during an interview with a private TV channel.

He stated that regardless of whether the elections are held in two or five years, Sharif will become PM for the fourth time.

When he was asked to explain how can Nawaz Sharif become PM in the next couple of years, particularly with his own brother currently holding the position, Javed Latif said that it could be achieved through elections. He added that the elections can happen tomorrow.

The senior PML N leader claimed that those who previously created hurdles to prevent Nawaz Sharif from becoming PM again would now unite in support of him.

He highlighted the challenge faced by governments with a two-thirds majority in completing their terms in the country. Latif then questioned how the current government, lacking a simple majority and reliant on the support of two parties, can expect to survive its full term.
