ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has made a significant move by forming a grand alliance with opposition parties, aiming to challenge the government’s policies post Eid ul Fitr.

According to media reports, under the leadership of Mahmood Achakzai, the alliance will comprise like-minded opposition parties, including the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F).

The reports said that Mahmood Achakzai is set to meet with JUI-F chairman Maulana Fazl ur Rehman soon to extend an invitation to join the alliance. Meanwhile, Maulana Fazl ur Rehman has already issued a call for protests against the government, suggesting his willingness to collaborate with PTI under Achakzai’s leadership.

Furthermore, speculations suggest that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) might join the opposition alliance. Liaquat Baloch of JI stated that a final decision would be made after the approval of Majlis Shura, indicating potential future collaboration within the opposition ranks.
