ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: Schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will remain closed on Wednesday, November 27, due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests and the tense situation in the twin cities.
Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi, Hassan Waqar Cheema, issued a notification confirming the decision.
The closure has been made based on the recommendations of the District Intelligence Committee, considering the security situation.
This decision aims to ensure the safety of students and maintain peace in the city amidst the ongoing protests.
It is pertinent to mention that schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi were also closed on Monday and Tuesday, making it three consecutive days of closure due to the protests and the tense situation in the twin cities.
