The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab (CM) Maryam Nawaz, has decided to reduce food prices of different items in restaurants across the province.
According to Geo News, the prices of karahi, daal, burgers, and other dishes in hotels will be reduced.
Sources further stated that the district administration will negotiate with the restaurant association to lower the prices.
Earlier, Provincial Minister for Food, Bilal Yaseen, recently chaired a meeting in this regard. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Food, DG Food Authority, DG Industries, Deputy Commissioner, and the representatives of the bakery association and different brands.
