Punjab govt launches mass wedding program

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced the “Punjab Dhee Rani – Sab Say Achi Sab Say Sayani” scheme, aimed at supporting newly-wed couples across the province.

Under this programme, each couple will receive Rs100,000 via ATM as ‘salami’, and a meal will be provided for up to 20 guests at their wedding. The initiative also includes essential household items such as furniture, crockery, and clothing for domestic use.

How to Apply:

Deserving couples can apply for the scheme by registering online through the official website CMP.Punjab.gov.pk. A dedicated helpline, 1312, has also been set up to assist couples interested in the mass wedding programme.

Verification Process:

To ensure fairness and transparency, special teams will visit the homes of successful applicants for verification before the benefits are provided.
