WEBDESK: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is receiving a strong response from the public for its first flight to Paris, set to depart on January 10, 2025, after a four-year hiatus.
All economy class tickets for the flight have been sold out in advance, with only a few executive economy seats still available, according to the airline’s spokesperson. The first flight, PK749, will carry over 300 passengers and is expected to generate more than Rs110 million in revenue.
The twice-weekly direct flights between Islamabad and Paris will help boost business, tourism, and cultural connections between the two nations. The first flight will depart from Islamabad Airport at 12:00 pm, and a welcoming ceremony will be held at the airport, with Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and other officials in attendance.
The airline has also seen strong demand for its upcoming flights, with 85% of the seats already booked for next week’s services. In addition to the Paris route, PIA is expanding its operations with new domestic and international flights starting in January. These include weekly services between Sialkot and Bahrain, Lahore and Kuwait, and Faisalabad and Jeddah, as well as new routes between Lahore and Dammam and Sialkot and Doha.
PIA’s Boeing 777 aircraft will be used for these flights, signaling the airline’s commitment to expanding its network and improving travel options for its passengers.
