WEBDESK: Gavin Newsom, California’s Governor declared a state of emergency as a massive wildfire has broken out in the forests near Los Angeles (LA), California, causing widespread damage and panic.

He has ordered the evacuation of 70,000 residents from their homes. The fire has spread across hilly areas, impacting the picturesque region between Santa Monica and Malibu.

According to the Governor of California, the fire, fueled by strong winds and dry conditions, has claimed the lives of two people and affected over 1,000 buildings. Around 26,978 acres of land have been destroyed so far.

The fire has also spread to other areas, including Etown, where another 2,000 acres were affected. Emergency responders, including firefighters and National Guard personnel, are working tirelessly to control the blaze.

In addition to the tragic loss of life, the fire has left residents in fear and many have evacuated. Over 30,000 people have left the area, including several Hollywood celebrities.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, but no definitive answers have been provided yet.

The fire is still ongoing, with more areas at risk. The local authorities have described the situation as extraordinary and extremely dangerous, and efforts continue to contain the flames.
