WEBDESK: Pakistan is facing slow internet speed as internet services have been temporarily affected due to a technical fault in the AAE-1 submarine cable, which connects the country to international internet traffic.
Due to this fault, Pakistan as well as several other countries are facing slower internet speeds.
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) users are facing browsing issues, and there has been a noticeable drop in internet speed.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) confirmed that the issue lies with the submarine cable near Qatar, where the technical glitch has disrupted the flow of internet traffic.
PTCL has also apologized to its users and assured them that services will improve once the cable is repaired.
PTA also assured that this issue will soon be resolved as global teams are working to fix the problem.
Complaints regarding internet speed have been received not only from Pakistan but also from other countries, due to the fault. Other telecom companies and broadband providers have also been affected.
PTA has also reassured the public that expert teams are working diligently to repair the fault and restore normal internet services. They have requested patience from users during this time and promised regular updates until the issue is fully resolved.
