Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who had gone missing during a PTI-led protest in Islamabad on Saturday, has now resurfaced at the KP Assembly.
Gandapur’s disappearance fueled various speculations, with PTI alleging that he had been arrested by the police. However, the Interior Minister denied these claims.
After reappearing, Gandapur addressed the assembly, stating, “I salute the people of Pakistan.”
He added, “We were not given permission to hold the rally. I ask, what is the government afraid of? Why aren’t we allowed to hold rallies?”
Gandapur further expressed his frustration, saying, “When we requested permission for a rally in Islamabad, we were only allowed to hold it at the Sangjani cattle market. In Lahore, we asked for permission, and they gave us the Kahna cattle market. Are we animals that we are only allowed to hold rallies in cattle markets?”
