LAHORE: Several students were caught red-handed while cheating in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-I annual examinations in Lahore, according to a spokesperson for Punjab Minister for School Education Rana Sikandar Hayat.
According to media reports, the discovery occurred after Minister Hayat conducted an unannounced visit to an examination center in the Sanda area of Lahore.
The minister reported that during the visit, individuals were caught taking exams on behalf of others at the examination center. He asserted that the centre and other school officials were complicit in facilitating cheating during the examinations.
The minister emphasised, “Nobody can be allowed to play with the future of students,” issuing a stern warning against such malpractices.
Subsequently, five officials allegedly involved in the cheating were apprehended on the minister’s directives, as confirmed by his spokesperson.
