MANSEHRA: District authorities have closed Naran, situated in the Kaghan Valley, and the road leading to the Babusar Top for tourists due to heavy snowfall in the region.
Deputy Commissioner Mansehra said that tourists advised tourists not to travel to Naran as the tourist season in the Kaghan Valley has come to an end due to severe weather conditions.
Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) officials say that tourists can visit other tourist destinations in Shogran and Balakot.
The officials said that Naran and upper places in the valley have been closed due to snowfall, but destinations like Garhi Habibullah, Balakot, Ghanol, Kiwai, and Tarna areas are open for tourists.
Roads were also closed last month due to heavy snowfall in Naran, Babusar Top, and Batakandi. Like every year, the routes to Chilas, Gilgit, and Skardu were closed, while tourists were asked to return from Battakundi.
The Tourism Authority said in this regard that the first snowfall of the winter was recorded in Battakundi, a tourist destination in the Naran Valley, while snowfall had also occurred at Babusar Top a few days ago.
