QUETTA: The Director of AIDS Control Program Balochistan Dr Zulfiqar Ali during a press conference on Saturday said that the number of AIDS patients has increased in Balochistan and 462 new cases were registered on Saturday.

He said that 462 new cases were registered and the number of patients registered under the AIDS control program increased to 2823.

He said that 2361 AIDS patients were registered last year, 594 AIDS-affected women, 99 children and 47 transgenders are registered.

According to Dr. Zulfiqar, the number of AIDS patients in Balochistan may be around 9 thousand.
