Under the new regulations, cruise ship passengers and crew can apply for a 10-day visa upon the request of the ship’s agent. This visa must be used within 30 days of issuance. Furthermore, a one-month visa is available for those who wish to stay longer, under similar conditions.

This move is expected to make Oman a more appealing destination for international tourists, especially those traveling by sea. Known for its beautiful landscapes, rich heritage, and vibrant culture, Oman is becoming an increasingly popular stop for cruise lines.

The new visa regulations are seen as a positive step toward enhancing Oman’s tourism infrastructure. The free visas for cruise ship visitors are likely to encourage more tourists to explore the country’s attractions, contributing to the overall growth of the tourism sector.
