The Sindh government has expanded its international driving license issuance service to all 11 driving license branches across the province, making it more accessible for residents. Previously, this service was limited to the Clifton branch in Karachi.

Under the new initiative, Sindh residents with valid driving licenses can now apply for an international driving license online, eliminating the need to visit any branch.

The service was officially launched on September 14 at six branches in Karachi and branches in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana, according to DIG Training and Licensing Iqbal Dara.

Online applications and courier delivery available

DIG Dara noted that the Clifton branch has already issued 693 international driving licenses, and other branches, including Korangi, Malir, and Nazimabad, have begun processing applications. For those opting to apply online, licenses are delivered via the TCS courier service.

Residents can also pay the fee of Rs1,088 for the international driving permit through an online system, further streamlining the process. The Sindh government’s goal with this expansion is to make international driving permits more convenient and accessible for all residents of the province.
