ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Monday reached Islamabad to welcome Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko, who is scheduled to arrive tonight for a three-day visit.
Foreign Office said that the Belarus President will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss areas of mutual interest, including trade, industry, and technological collaboration.
Several agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) are expected to be signed as part of the discussions.
Ahead of his arrival, a 68-member Belarusian delegation, including key ministers and business leaders, arrived in Islamabad last night.
The delegation was warmly received by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and senior officials from Pakistan’s foreign ministry.
The chairman of Belarus’s Military Industry Committee is also part of the delegation.
The aim of Belarus’s high-level delegation is to boost bilateral relations and expand cooperation in various sectors.
