The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement’s (PTM) protesters pelted stones at the police officers who were part of Provincial Minister Pashtun Yar’s security detail. In response, the police opened fire to disperse the agitated protesters.
The incident occurred when protesters targeted the police officers in the squad of Provincial Minister Pashtun Yar. The police responded with gunfire to disperse the angry protesters, which resulted in PTM workers throwing stones at a police vehicle.
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Dr Saif stated that no slogans against the state would be allowed at the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement’s Jirga. He clarified that displaying flags of any other country would also be prohibited, and any slogans against the constitution and the Pakistan Army would be unacceptable.
Barrister Saif made these remarks during an event in Jamrud alongside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, where he raised the banner of peace. He mentioned that the Jirga held yesterday at the Chief Minister’s House empowered the Chief Minister to resolve the issues.
