Mehmood Khan Achakzai, leader of the Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ain-e-Pakistan (TTAP), has emphasised the need for transparency in constitutional amendments, denouncing any efforts to alter the constitution through conspiracies behind closed doors.
In a media address on Wednesday, Achakzai underlined the significance of the constitution as a sacred document, not just a mere piece of paper.
He criticised political maneuvers in the country, aiming at Maulana Fazlur Rehman, describing him as a weak politician with overstated influence.
Addressing the ongoing economic crisis, Achakzai expressed concern over the state of poverty in Pakistan, revealing that more than 30 million citizens still live below the poverty line.

Moreover, he attributed the solution to the country’s woes to democratic stability and adherence to the rule of law, calling for comprehensive electoral reforms to ensure genuine representation of the people.
Additionally, Achakzai proposed that fresh elections are necessary to tackle the nation’s challenges and urged political parties to unite on fundamental principles of governance, allowing the public to freely choose their representatives.
Furthermore, he also suggested that a committee led by Ayaz Sadiq could play a pivotal role in steering the process of electoral reforms to ensure free and fair elections.
