Saleema Imtiaz has made history as the first woman from Pakistan to be nominated to the ICC International Panel of Development Umpires. This prestigious nomination will enable her to officiate at women’s bilateral international matches and ICC Women’s events.

Saleema, who is also the mother of Pakistan women’s international cricketer Kainat Imtiaz, started her umpiring career in 2008 with the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Women’s Umpires Panel.

Over the years, she has officiated at prominent events organized by the Asian Cricket Council, including the 2022 and 2024 ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cups, the 2023 ACC Emerging Women’s Cup in Hong Kong, and most recently, as a member of the playing control team for the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2024 in Kuala Lumpur.
