In a new effort to improve road safety, the City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has announced that motorbike riders must show their helmets when submitting a challan to retrieve their impounded motorcycles. Without displaying a helmet, the motorbike will not be returned to the owner.
A spokesperson for the City Traffic Police confirmed that a strict crackdown on riders without helmets has begun. According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Beenish Fatima, motorcycles are being locked up at nearby police stations if riders are caught without helmets.

To get their vehicles back, riders must bring their helmets to the traffic officer handling the case.
The CTO explained that this initiative is part of a broader effort to encourage helmet use and enhance road safety. She urged citizens to follow traffic rules and support the police in making roads safer.
The announcement also highlighted that the Cantt driving school has been renovated and now operates in two shifts, including a night track for licensing.
