HYBE, the label representing the globally famous South Korean band BTS, has addressed circulating rumors about potential departure of Suga from the group following DUI allegations.

As reported by YTN and cited by Koreaboo, HYBE was quick to quash the speculation, putting an end to the rumors regarding departure of BTS’s Suga.

“Talk of Suga leaving BTS is nonsense,” the company declared. “We apologise and are committed to resolving the conflict within the fanbase.”

The controversy has caused a rift among the BTS ARMY, with some fans expressing disappointment and calling for the 31-year-old rapper’s exit from the group, while others have come to his defense, arguing that the criticism is excessive.

Many fans also stressed that Suga, whose real name is Min Yoongi, deserves privacy as he navigates this challenging situation.

For those unfamiliar with the case, Suga, who is currently serving his mandatory military duty as a social service agent, was reportedly booked by South Korean police on August 6 for riding an e-scooter under the influence while returning home.

Despite the rumors gaining momentum last week, sources cited by Koreaboo clarified that discussions about Suga leaving BTS are “not on the table.”
