City Traffic Police has issued a special advisory for tourists visiting Murree due to ongoing monsoon rains. Traffic officers and wardens in the area have been instructed to provide assistance to ensure smooth travel for visitors.

Advisory for Tourists

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Beenish Fatima advised tourists to ensure their vehicles are in good working condition before visiting Murree. She stressed the importance of having functioning wipers and lights and warned against speeding on slippery roads and sharp turns.

Furthermore, she emphasized that drivers should adhere to one-way rules and avoid improper overtaking, as all roads in Murree are two-way.

CTO Fatima has emphasized the need for professionalism from traffic staff to prevent any difficulties for tourists. She has directed Deputy Superintendent of Police Abrar Sarwar and other officials to perform their duties efficiently.

A spokesperson for the City Traffic Police stated that Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and other officers have been instructed to be actively present in the field and ensure that all possible assistance is provided to tourists.

The standard operating procedures (SOP) require strict enforcement of driving licenses, fitness certificates for public service vehicles, and provincial government guidelines for the entry of large vehicles to prevent any incidents in the area.
