WEB DESK: The Dubai government has announced plans to build the first floating bridge for pedestrians in the Al Mamzar area, which will be 200 meters long.

According to Arab media reports, this project will include the development of 4.3 kilometers of Al Mamzar beach and 1.4 kilometers of Jumeirah 1 beach over 18 months, with an estimated cost of approximately 355 million dirhams.

Furthermore, the report also mentioned that this project is being introduced under the directives of the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to upgrade Dubai’s beaches to global standards.

Moreover, to counter the effects of climate change, these beaches will also be elevated, utilizing more than half a million cubic meters of coastal sand for the purpose.

Both beaches will feature a total of 11 kilometers of cycling and running tracks and a 5-kilometer walkway surrounded by trees.

There will be spaces designated for barbecues, fitness activities, children’s play areas, beach rest houses, and seasonal activities.

Additionally, the beaches will have an automatic irrigation system to keep them green, and there will be 1,400 parking spaces.
