The FIR of the attack on Raoof Hasan has come to light

ISLAMABAD: The First Information Report (FIR) regarding the attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raoof Hasan surfaced on Monday.

According to the FIR, Raoof Hasan alleged that on the evening of May 21, 2024, at 5:30 PM, while recording a program for GNN TV channel at Sector G-7, Star Market, Islamabad, he was attacked.

As I was leaving the recording venue, a person, who appeared to be a servant, obstructed me under a deliberate plan and assaulted me.

Meanwhile, three others, who also seemed to be servants, fatally attacked me and continuously attempted to strangle me with a sharp object around my neck. When I tried to defend myself by moving backward, my mouth was severely injured and cut by a sharp object, causing profuse bleeding, and I sustained upper jaw injuries from the right side of my cheek.

These individuals continuously threatened to kill me. At the same time, some people gathered there, upon which these individuals fled the scene. I have no personal enmity with anyone. CCTV footage of this incident is also available. It can be seen that two days ago, a similar attempt was made to attack me by 3-4 people in front of a news office in Blue Area Islamabad when I was leaving after recording a program. However, the people present there saved me.

Since I am the spokesperson and central secretary of information for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, and attempts have been made to kill me, I hold these individuals responsible, and legal action should be taken against them. My case should be registered, and my life should be protected.
